About the role
- Design and maintain security architecture for on-premises systems, networks, endpoints, and supporting cloud services
- Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and reference architectures
- Participate in security alert investigation and escalation as needed to provide architectural guidance, improve detections, and drive long-term risk reduction
- Perform architecture reviews and threat modeling for new systems, infrastructure changes, and applications
- Partner with IT, infrastructure, and engineering teams to embed security into system design and operations
- Guide implementation of identity, network segmentation, and access control strategies
- Evaluate security risks and recommend controls aligned with business needs
- Support vulnerability management, incident response, and remediation
- Assist in selection and evaluation of security technologies and platforms
- Ensure security architecture aligns with regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements
- Clearly communicate risk and design decisions to technical teams and executive leadership
- Participate in On Call rotation. Performs other duties as assigned by RedSail Technologies management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- On-prem infrastructure security (Active Directory, Windows/Linux, virtualization)
- Network security (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, NAC)
- Identity and access management (IAM, MFA, privileged access)
- Endpoint and server security
- Encryption and data protection
- Experience performing threat and risk assessments
- Ability to balance security requirements with operational and business realities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CASP+
