About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee training and development programs for employees within the underground mining division.
Ensure that all training activities meet regulatory requirements and uphold safety standards.
Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to underground mining operations.
Continuously assess training needs by working closely with department heads.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including OSHA and MSHA.
Deliver training to both new and existing employees using various instructional methods.
Develop and maintain records of employee training progress and compliance status.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role focused on training and development in underground mining operations.
Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, preferably in high-risk industries such as mining, construction, or heavy industry.
In-depth knowledge of underground mining operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
