About the role
- Develop, coordinate and deliver comprehensive safety and training programs for raisedrill operations
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide safety and emergency response training to all raisedrill personnel
- Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Liaise with supervisors and managers to ensure all safety and training requirements are met
- Maintain detailed records of all safety and training activities
- Support the continuous improvement of safety systems and processes
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Mining or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in a similar safety and training coordination role, ideally within the mining or resources sector
- Excellent knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations and best practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Proficient in the use of safety and training software and systems
- A passionate commitment to safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
