About the role

  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop a global team of data scientists and partnership managers, ensuring efficient operations and career growth within the Marketing Science function.
  • Strategic Bets Oversight: Drive the execution of strategic bets including platform research & insights, 3P solutions enablement as well as scaled tooling & productivity solutions.
  • Research & Methodology: Direct the development of various measurement methodologies, algorithms, and tools—such as attitudinal survey research, ROI measurement, and causal inference—to support global sales efforts.
  • Partnership Management: Manage the implementation and activation of partner solution programs for clients, acting as the primary liaison between external 3P measurement partners and Reddit internal teams.
  • Technical Informatics: Oversee a data informatics team focused on delivering technology-based solutions, including clean room implementations, AI tooling, and ML productivity.
  • Insights & Narratives: Support the creation of 1P and 3P research, meta-analyses, and case studies that communicate Reddit’s value to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Reddit to the larger research and analytics industry through speaking engagements, white papers, and conferences.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee project completion from initiation to delivery, ensuring all research and tooling scales across all Reddit advertisers.

Requirements

  • Expert Leader: A seasoned manager with experience overseeing data science and research teams to leverage diverse data sources for actionable business insights. Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience.
  • Quantitatively Rigorous: Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics or a similar quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Methodology Maven: Expertise in experimental and quasi-experimental design, with deep knowledge of advanced statistical methods and causal inference.
  • Technically Savvy: Proficiency with big data technologies (SQL, Python, BigQuery) and familiarity with emerging AI/ML productivity tools.
  • Strategic Communicator: Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and outside analytics teams.
  • Adaptable & Innovative: Comfortable driving innovative research through ambiguity in a rapidly growing company environment.
