About the role
- Plan, organize, and oversee the production process from start to finish
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines
- Coordinate with customer, vendors, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Production Manager or similar role in hardware manufacturing in support of a large DoD program
- Strong knowledge of production management principles and practices within the DoD
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Department of Defense standards and guidelines
