About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for assigned accounts and projects
  • Lead medical communications programs from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards
  • Lead client status meetings and prepare agendas, updates, recaps, and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Creative, Editorial, Digital, and Project teams on execution
  • Review deliverables for client-objective alignment, feedback incorporation, regulatory compliance, and client-process compliance
  • Manage project and account financials, including budgets, invoicing, reconciliations, and scope-change identification
  • Develop and manage change orders and support proposal and statement-of-work development
  • Ensure adherence to agency and client SOPs, compliance requirements, and industry regulations
  • Supervise and support medical/regulatory/legal review processes and document submissions
  • Participate in onsite client meetings, advisory boards, congress activities, and speaker programs as needed
  • Coach and support junior team members through guidance, feedback, and workload prioritization
  • Identify new opportunities and support business development efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred
  • 4–6+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharma marketing, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, therapeutic landscapes, and drug development process
  • Financial acumen including forecasting, statement-of-work development, and profitability management
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
  • Familiarity with document submission systems such as Veeva PromoMats preferred
  • Willingness/ability to participate in onsite client meetings, advisory boards, congress activities, and speaker programs as needed
