About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write code to add new software features to applications using Golang or other appropriate languages
Contribute to database design and implementation, including schemas, queries, and access patterns
Participate in Agile software development ceremonies
Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality
Refactor application code to improve stability, performance, and scalability
Coordinate with team leads, architects, and engineers on product design and architecture
Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Support Red Hat’s global customer support teams in assisting customers
Work with continuous integration and delivery and respond to security threats

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
Five years of experience in the job offered or a related role
Five years of experience with at least one of: Golang, Python, Java, C#, C, or C++
Three years of experience with microservices architecture and concepts, including APIs, versioning, and monitoring
Two years of experience with container-related technologies, virtualization, or distributed systems
Two years of experience with one or more public cloud service providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure
One year of experience with database design and implementation
