About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with delivery of Red Hat Consulting engagements for internal and external customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert at client sites, addressing technical, developmental, and strategic IT needs
  • Learn and apply new technologies to customer requirements
  • Support multiple projects across industries and project types
  • Keep stakeholders updated on issues affecting project or company performance
  • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification, design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
  • Produce written project documentation for Red Hat and client management teams
  • Adapt to changing customer requirements
  • Represent Red Hat between the broader company and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a consulting or related role
  • Experience with enterprise-wide deployments
  • Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience with one or more of OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Satellite, authentication services such as IdM/IPA, or virtualization technologies
  • Working knowledge of Linux security practices and tools addressing common criteria
  • Technical expertise demonstrated through previous career opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days
  • Customer focus and understanding of the value delivered to customers
