About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design of complex, production-grade solutions based on Red Hat OpenShift, focusing on Internal Developer Platforms (like Red Hat Developer Hub/Backstage), CI/CD modernization, and AI-assisted workflows.
Lead technical discovery sessions, and workshops, to identify customer challenges and demonstrate the value of Red Hat's portfolio.
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on Platform Engineering and AI-Assisted Application Modernization for customer and internal teams, guiding them through design, pilot, and production deployments.
Work with customers to identify challenges and blockers to the adoption of modern software delivery practices and collaborate with them to address their technical and business requirements.
Work closely with Red Hat's product, engineering, professional services, and sales teams to ensure a world-class customer experience.
Develop and share best practices, reusable assets, and architectural patterns for application modernization, contribute to whitepapers and webinars, and speak at industry conferences.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in a senior technology role like enterprise architecture, consulting, or sales engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure solutions and platform adoption.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience building and managing Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), optimizing developer workflows, and streamlining the path to production.
Direct, practical experience with AI-assisted coding assistants, AI-driven application modernization, and integrating LLMs/AI services into enterprise software delivery.
Significant experience with Kubernetes and container platform deployments in large organizations, preferably with Red Hat OpenShift.
Deep understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines, GitOps methodologies (e.g., ArgoCD, Tekton), and microservices architectures.
Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or its derivatives, in production enterprise environments.
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer challenges and build long-lasting relationships.
Willingness to travel to customer locations regularly.
