About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain uptime across multi-site Beaker environments; deploy and manage Lab Controllers (Python 3)
  • Execute biweekly patching cycles; triage ServiceNow tickets and provide Slack-based support to QE teams
  • Contribute to OpenShift migration of Beaker components; build and deploy containerized workloads with Podman
  • Improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines; support the Python 2 → 3 migration
  • Drive ESS V10 attestation across patching, hardening, authentication, encryption, and egress monitoring controls
  • Maintain and extend Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and configuration management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years Linux systems engineering with strong RHEL experience (7/8/9)
  • Ansible — playbooks for provisioning, patching, and deployment automation
  • Container operations with Podman — build, deploy, troubleshoot
  • Python — comfortable reading and modifying Python codebases
  • Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, PXE/iPXE, TFTP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS
  • Multi-site data center operations experience
