About the role

  • Own and expand Red Hat’s business within EU institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, European Council, EU agencies)
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned with institutions' digital and modernization priorities
  • Build trusted relationships with senior officials, procurement leaders, and IT decision-makers
  • Navigate complex EU procurement frameworks, contracts, and funding mechanisms
  • Achieve sales targets, maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, and ensure disciplined account planning
  • Collaborate with account solution architects to identify and influence key projects and programs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for senior IT and business executives and build long-term strategic partnerships
  • Develop and position proofs of concept and pilot implementations of Red Hat solutions
  • Work closely with Product Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and technology/services partners to ensure excellent customer experiences

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience selling enterprise software
  • Public sector sales experience, ideally within EU institutions
  • Strong knowledge of EU procurement processes, frameworks, and contracting models
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with long lead times
  • Track record of consultative customer engagement, solution selling, and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with experience engaging C-level executives
  • Fluency in English and French (mandatory); Dutch and other EU languages a plus
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic and tactical mindset with ability to execute long-term growth plans and short-term opportunities
  • Experience developing and positioning proofs of concept and pilot implementations
