About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to adding features requested by stakeholders to containers security libraries to be vendored into products like Podman, Podman Desktop, OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Participate on a scrum team and complete tasks assigned within sprint boundaries.
  • Give demos to your peers on work you’ve completed each sprint.
  • Work with upstream communities like Podman, skopeo, and buildah.
  • Ensure test plans for the code you create exist and that documentation is correct.
  • Design and implement automated test cases.
  • Analyze defects, design solutions, and engineer fixes.
  • Quickly respond to security threats.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid knowledge of Linux (using linux as workstation or server to run applications)
  • Experience analysing systems for their security properties
  • Understanding of using AI and agents for software development
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Golang, Rust
  • Experience with Linux containers or Kubernetes
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable about Post Quantum Cryptography (plus)
  • Knowledgeable about Linux Kernel and kernel modules (GPU support and compilation) (plus)
  • Knowledge of AI models, container registry services (plus).
