About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Play an active role in one or more of the projects: Data Center Management, x2ansible, cost management on prem or OpenShift migration advisor
  • Contribute to new feature development by building, testing, bug-fixing and designing; contribute to open source projects in Golang, Python or TypeScript
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) flows
  • Work with upstream communities/partners or customers to improve Red Hat driven open source projects or products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in development in Golang, Python or TypeScript
  • Familiarity with linux containers and OpenShift or Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with the Linux operating system
  • Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work equally well as an individual contributor or as a team member
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
  • Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027
  • Familiarity with virtualization, networking or storage technologies (considered a plus)
  • Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub (considered a plus)
  • Understanding of distributed systems, design patterns and clean code practices (considered a plus)
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality (considered a plus)
