About the role

  • Drive the engineering delivery for KVM and QEMU by managing sprint priorities and unblocking dependencies
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable deliverables—from setting the long-term roadmap to defining detailed user stories
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between hardware partners and internal teams
  • Navigate the complex dynamics of upstream communities to synchronize community innovation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a software development or product ownership role
  • Technical domain knowledge of the Linux Virtualization stack (KVM, QEMU, libvirt) and Computer Architecture (x86_64, s390x, aarch64)
  • Ability to translate low-level kernel speak into business value for stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
  • Experience with Jira, GitHub, or GitLab considered a plus.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar credentials is preferred.
