About the role
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines used for building, testing, and releasing components of the Red Hat OpenShift AI platform
- Assist in the automation of internal services and workflows, reducing friction for developers and improving engineering efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers across DevTestOps, Product Engineering, and QE teams to support delivery goals
- Learn and apply GitOps principles to manage configuration and deployment of automation tasks
- Participate in maintaining the health of DevOps infrastructure including Jenkins jobs, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools
- Help document processes and tools to support team knowledge sharing
- Experiment with and explore AI-assisted development tools that may enhance team productivity
- Support release processes, including validation, smoke tests, and infrastructure readiness for Red Hat AI products
- Test like a customer and provide feedback and recommendations on how to make the RHOAI platform better
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland for full duration of the internship
- Must be able to join full time from January till August 2026
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow in the fields of DevOps, AI/ML, and cloud-native software development
- Some familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Curiosity about how CI/CD pipelines work and willingness to explore tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Basic understanding of Git or other version control tools
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
