About the role

  • Provide a high, detailed level of technical assistance to ensure that our customers get the most out of our JBoss products
  • Work alongside in­house developers, fix & improve code, provide highly technical solutions and contribute to the JBoss & open source software communities
  • Act as the technical point person for a technology of your choosing within the JBoss Product Suite
  • Develop patches & feature requests to provide upstream to the community & downstream to customers
  • Use available tools to investigate and fix technical issues; resolve complex customer problems
  • Record customer interactions to include investigation, troubleshooting, and the resolution of issues
  • Share your knowledge gained from solving issues by contributing to the global Red Hat knowledge management system
  • Maintain dedication to providing the best experience for Red Hat customers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional JBoss EAP or JEE platform experience
  • A solid understanding of Java Programming API's & popular Java frameworks is preferred
  • Deep experience with one or several JEE/App Server technologies such as JMS, Web Services, SOAP, REST, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, Struts, Tomcat or Datasources, FuseSource, Camel, OSGI, AMQ, Karaf, Fabric, Switchyard, Version Control, Build Tool, Openshift, Docker
  • Solid knowledge of Solid Messaging concepts, AMQ Artemis or Messaging broker experiences, Kafka experience (Streams API, Cruise Control, MM2, connectors, Debezium, Apicurio Registry), Quarkus, or Spring Boot experience
  • Experience with application server technologies such as JBoss/WebSphere/WebLogic, along with databases and SQL experience
  • Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills and a passion for problem-solving and investigation
  • Very clear and effective English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Knowledge of Linux/ UNIX operating systems
  • Knowledge of using Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift
  • Experience of working on AMQ, Quarkus or JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite will be an added advantage
  • Flexible to work on weekends when needed
