About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees' technology requests.
  • Identify IT issues that can be resolved internally versus those that must be outsourced.
  • Review, investigate, and resolve issues that can be handled internally by providing direct support to employees.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved internally to our external partners and follow up as needed until resolution.
  • Handle all IT aspects required during hiring, transfers, promotions, and employee departures.
  • Maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers.
  • Install, configure, and keep authorized software and applications up to date across the IT environment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date physical inventory of IT equipment and software in use.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all colleagues.
  • Exercise good judgment in situations involving significant challenges by independently determining priorities and the appropriate, effective steps to troubleshoot for the employee(s).
  • Deliver excellent service to employees using interpersonal skills, active listening, and by guiding conversations with relevant questions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a video game studio is an asset.
  • Passionate about problem solving.
  • Experience and aptitude in technical support and customer service.
  • Resourceful and autonomous.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Intermediate English proficiency is required to communicate with English-speaking partners and suppliers (approximately 20% of interactions).
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with technology tools used in game development (Microsoft suite, Atlassian suite, Parsec, Discord, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of IT security and the ability to act accordingly.
  • Knowledge of network configuration.
