About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source and create new opportunities - this is a new business role!
- Create and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to meet quarterly/annual quota requirements
- Manage sales opportunities from beginning to end - identifying and qualifying prospects, aligning Recurly’s value with prospect needs, negotiating and closing deals
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Recurly’s product, technology, competitors and industry trends
- Work closely with supporting functions including Marketing, SDRs, Customer Success, Partner Team and Professional Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Natural curiosity and the desire to win together with our customers
- 6+ years of experience in a quota carrying sales role selling software or cloud based applications
- Proven experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles- demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management and pipeline generation and selling to multiple constituents in the same cycle.
- A track record of success in driving consistent activity, pipeline development and quota achievement
- Experience in determining customer requirements and presenting appropriate solutions
- Proactive, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environment
- “Roll up your sleeves attitude” and willingness to be a relentless collaborator, excellent teammate and process innovator
- Desire to never stop learning or growing
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- BA/BS degree or relevant experience
- Bonus Points:
- Additional languages e.g. German, Dutch, Hebrew, Swedish.
- Subscription industry knowledge and deep vertical expertise
