About the role

  • Edit long-form training and coaching videos for YouTube
  • Create short-form vertical content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Cut, trim, and structure content for maximum engagement and retention
  • Add graphics, transitions, overlays, and branded elements
  • Incorporate music, sound design, and visual effects where appropriate
  • Ensure consistent visual style aligned with brand guidelines
  • Create accurate captions and subtitles
  • Generate and deliver SRT files for all relevant content
  • Ensure captions are properly synced and platform-compliant
  • Format videos according to platform specifications (aspect ratio, duration, resolution)
  • Apply best practices for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram algorithms
  • Create hooks and engaging openers for short-form content
  • Collaborate on thumbnail concepts (YouTube)
  • Work closely with the founder/coach to understand messaging and tone
  • Manage multiple content pieces simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Organise raw footage and maintain a structured file management system
  • Deliver edited files in required formats within agreed turnaround times

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing content for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
  • Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Experience creating and exporting SRT files
  • Strong understanding of vertical video editing and mobile-first formatting
  • Ability to incorporate captions, motion graphics, and branded overlays
  • Knowledge of YouTube retention strategies and short-form content trends
  • Previous experience working with coaches, trainers, influencers, or personal brands preferred
  • Portfolio showcasing both long-form and short-form content
  • Experience editing educational, motivational, or business-related content advantageous
