About the role

  • Responsible for generating sales of Micro Technologies to both existing and new customers within an assigned sales territory
  • Plans and makes sales calls, understanding and selling unique values of all technologies
  • Builds long-term mutually beneficial relationships with Dairies and heifer development yards, consulting veterinary practices, consulting nutritionists, and state livestock associations
  • Presents and demonstrates new technologies to customers and educates them on the features, advantages, benefits and value of each product
  • Quotes prices and credit terms based on target margin objectives, prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Ensures orderly transfer of customer relationship to appropriate customer representative
  • Compiles and maintains targets lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of outside sales experience is required
  • If candidate does not have a Bachelor’s degree than a minimum of ten years’ related experience is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills and a proven ability to sell are necessary
  • A valid drivers’ license and good driving record are mandatory.
