About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble and summarize data for sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
- Develop financial models, benchmarking, process analyses, and forecast models
- Analyze historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic performance results to support decision-making
- Identify trends and recommend actions to senior management
- Consult with management on long-term and strategic decisions
- Compile and analyze financial reports and identify discrepancies
- Perform special projects to improve department efficiency and performance
- Coordinate data collection and analysis and present findings for Patient Accounting initiatives
- Develop key performance indicators and reports with Patient Accounting management
- Analyze Patient Accounting-related contracts and perform cost analyses
- Evaluate third-party service performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Assist Billing Compliance with automated billing audits and analysis
- Prepare financial reports, charts, tables, and exhibits
- Comply with incident reporting, OSHA, training, Code of Conduct, ethics, and customer service requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Minimum three years of healthcare financial analytical experience is required
- CPA or advanced degree is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access, is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from physicians, managers, employees, and business associates
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must attend relevant in-service classes or workshops
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects
- Must comply with OSHA and Springfield Clinic training requirements
- HIPAA2 privacy level
