About the role
- Recover is a Y Combinator-backed startup working to make addiction treatment for low-income people more effective and accessible.
- Mission: integrate medical care and telehealth to improve outcomes and expand access for low-income Americans.
- Team includes people from Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and White House alums; company is growing quickly.
- Opportunity: finance leader reporting to CEO to lead finance and compliance, build teams, and shape strategic direction.
- Role is full-time and fully remote; competitive salary, equity, and PTO.
- Finance responsibilities: drive financial reporting and cash management; ensure timely billing and AR; manage AP; perform unit economic analysis; manage external bookkeeper; maximize revenue via contract/billing understanding.
- Compliance responsibilities: lead audits responses; design and implement internal compliance programs for medical services; manage contract compliance requirements; lead compliance team.
- Special projects: support CEO, scale founder time, and build/own programs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience (e.g., finance at a telehealth startup, management consulting, accounting etc.)
- Think in and build out systems; structured in thinking and work
- Highly organized, good at planning, able to complete multiple projects simultaneously
- Growth mindset; comfortable with uncertainty
- Autodidact with speed and resourcefulness; self-teaching
- Self-starter, solution oriented; ownership of problems
- Humility and willingness to do non-glamorous work
- Nice to have: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
