About the role

  • Implement features and bug fixes based on clear requirements
  • Work within existing legacy systems safely and effectively
  • Ensure work is:
  • Complete
  • Tested
  • Ready for production
  • Develop primarily in:
  • .NET Framework applications (MVC / WebForms)
  • Understand and follow existing patterns and conventions
  • Make incremental improvements where appropriate, without introducing risk
  • Gain experience with:
  • Modern .NET (where applicable)
  • API-based development
  • Cloud-aware design considerations
  • Support ongoing evolution of the platform under guidance
  • Follow established coding standards and practices
  • Review existing solutions before implementing new ones to avoid duplication
  • Write maintainable, readable code
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions
  • Act on feedback to improve technical and problem-solving skills
  • Build understanding of the wider system and business context

Requirements

  • Experience with C# / .NET
  • Experience working with ASP.NET (MVC or similar)
  • Understanding of:
  • Basic web application architecture
  • REST APIs (basic level)
  • Exposure to:
  • Legacy systems (WebForms, older frameworks)
  • Azure or cloud concepts
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
  • Delivers tasks accurately and completely
  • Works effectively within existing systems without breaking them
  • Learns from feedback and improves over time
  • Avoids unnecessary duplication
  • Builds toward greater ownership
