About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and deploy global hygienic design standards for production equipment and facilities
  • Drive standardisation of equipment and vendor base to improve efficiency, compliance, and cost
  • Define technical requirements (URS) incorporating hygienic design principles
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements (FDA, EU, etc.)
  • Support CAPEX projects including vendor selection, FAT/SAT, and validation
  • Provide technical expertise in processing systems, utilities (HVAC, purified water), and cleaning systems (CIP/SIP)
  • Collaborate with Quality, Microbiology, Engineering, and external vendors
  • Monitor equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a global “go-to” expert for hygienic design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical or related field) or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including CAPEX involvement
  • Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical or biotech environments
  • Strong knowledge of hygienic design and processing technologies
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Project and vendor management skills
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organisation
  • Strong compliance and quality mindset
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills
