About the role

  • Area Sales Manager is the lead, incharge of the geographical area/ channel assigned
  • Ensuring presence of range of Reckitt products, compliance measures in line with brand/ category strategic objectives
  • Managing Distributor field force efficiencies in line with company set of KPIs
  • Responsible for managing the MT/ Retail & Wholesale universe within the geographic strata assigned to the role
  • Ensuring the designed RTM functions smoothly in tandem with distributor operations
  • Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager & manages a team of 1 -3 TS/ TM
  • Ensure Execution of brand and trade strategies across the given geographical domain to sustain/ further build commercial relationships with customers
  • Amending and redevising strategy whenever necessary to ensure access to customers and availability of product range
  • Achieve Primary & IMS targets with set RR/ YTD ambitions as per Region’s growth ambitions
  • KPI Benchmark Achievement of 30-5-65
  • Ensure lean but sufficient infrastructure that meets growth ambitions + DB profitability needs
  • Develop distributor’s development and value addition plans to improve on distribution efficiency and improve ROI

Requirements

  • Educated to a minimum of bachelor's degree level in a business related subject from a recognised university
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales, preferably in an FMCG environment
