About the role
- Generate and translate product concepts to technically feasible and consumer-relevant products
- Apply expertise of ingredient functionality and food science principles for optimum product design
- Demonstrate ability to integrate various unit operations for scale-up to manufacturing
- Utilize structured processes for analysis, design, contingency planning and resolution of product development problems
- Effectively utilize networking relationships with internal R&D staff and suppliers
- Ensure legal compliance and product safety by utilizing all pertinent regulatory guidelines
- Lead effectively project in a technical team or in cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a product development environment
- At least 2 years of experience in managing a team of product development scientists
- Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition or related discipline
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Proven interaction with external customers to identify and understand customer needs
- Successfully led product innovation from ideation to commercialization
