About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Transform the packaging material specification portfolio for assigned packaging commodities
  • Consolidate the packaging material specification portfolio by removing duplicates
  • Increase cross-site packaging material specifications where applicable
  • Broaden the range of packaging material specifications where appropriate
  • Ensure packaging material specifications meet holistic business needs
  • Maintain and improve data quality standards for the packaging material specification portfolio
  • Support the audit programme against agreed KPIs
  • Provide technical analysis of cross-regional specification data
  • Make recommendations for remediation and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Follow the packaging material specification management process defined in the new operating model, with guidance from the BPL-PM
  • Work with Procurement and the Specification Management team to develop the packaging material specification portfolio
  • Consider packaging materials and associated suppliers guided by Procurement
  • Collaborate with regulatory, safety, quality, procurement, manufacturing, and R&D Packaging Development teams
  • Ensure General Specification templates remain fit for purpose
