About the role

  • Point of contact and advisor for management and customers regarding the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Support and accompany projects and requirements
  • Independently manage tenders and the implementation of new WMS projects from planning through evaluation
  • Analyze processes, define requirements and continuously develop the warehouse management system
  • Plan, manage and control projects with regard to time, resources and achievement of objectives
  • Coordinate between logistics and software partners to ensure a smooth flow of information
  • Use data analysis to optimize processes and develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency and quality

Requirements

  • Solid professional experience (2+ years) as an IT project manager or IT project staff in the WMS area — ideally within logistics service providers
  • A completed vocational training, e.g., as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or a comparable qualification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of logistics and an understanding of how operational workflows—especially logistics and warehouse processes—interact with system support
  • Sufficient experience in the analysis, optimization and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with databases and SQL queries is desirable
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, initiative and a team-oriented attitude
