About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full product lifecycle for Chirp Access Control, including vision, roadmap, backlog prioritization, and delivery against business and customer goals
- Translate operator and resident insights into well-scoped product requirements and write PRDs consistent with RealPage standards
- Collaborate with Engineering, UX, and QA teams across a global organization to ship high-quality features on time
- Define and monitor product KPIs, including adoption, retention, support deflection, and client satisfaction, and drive data-informed iterations
- Represent multifamily property managers, maintenance teams, and residents across internal stakeholders and leadership reviews
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Channel teams on go-to-market messaging, training materials, and launch plans
- Help launch the Chirp Open API to expand Chirp Access Control across the total addressable market and enable compatibility with Smart Building platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–6 years of product management experience, with demonstrated growth as an individual contributor in a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong knowledge of access control hardware and credential ecosystems, including BLE, NFC, RFID, MDU readers, and cloud-based access management platforms
- Proven track record of owning a product end-to-end: strategy, roadmap, delivery, and post-launch iteration
- Strong customer discovery skills, including qualitative research through interviews and shadowing
- Excellent documentation skills; ability to author BRDs, PRDs, and product specifications for engineering, design, sales, and implementation audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively across Smart Building Product and Engineering teams
- Clear and persuasive communication skills for presenting roadmap rationale and trade-off decisions to senior leadership
- Analytical mindset; ability to define success metrics and use data to validate product decisions
- Preferred: Experience in smart building, access control, IoT, or proptech, ideally in multifamily real estate
- Preferred: Experience evaluating and onboarding technology partnerships or third-party integrations
- Preferred: Experience in multifamily property management software or related real estate technology
- Preferred: Exposure to Agile frameworks and Azure DevOps or equivalent backlog management tools
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI tools and usability level between an AI Adaptor or AI Orchestrator
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus
