About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, consolidation and monitoring of the IT budget, covering operational expenses (Opex) and investments (Capex).
- Monitor budget execution, analyzing variances between actuals, plan and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities for optimization.
- Support IT directorates in annual financial planning and periodic budget reviews (forecast/reforecast).
- Consolidate and report IT financial indicators to leadership and corporate areas (Finance, Controllership and Planning).
- Ensure correct accounting classification of expenses and investments, following financial and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform financial analyses of technology projects and initiatives, evaluating feasibility, budgetary impact and investment prioritization.
- Control the allocation and utilization of the budget across the different IT directorates and initiatives.
- Support investment approval processes (business cases, CAPEX requests and investment committees).
- Ensure adherence to financial governance policies and internal processes related to cost and investment management.
- Identify opportunities for financial efficiency, cost optimization and better utilization of IT resources.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Accounting or related fields.
- Experience in IT governance, financial planning or budget management, preferably within technology areas.
- Experience managing, controlling and monitoring budgets (Opex and Capex).
- Knowledge of financial planning processes, such as budget preparation, forecasting and budget variance analysis.
- Experience consolidating and analyzing financial data, preparing management reports and executive presentations.
- Advanced Excel or data analysis tools for budget control and monitoring.
- Experience interacting with Finance, Controllership and Technology leadership to align and monitor budget execution.
- Knowledge of governance processes and IT demand management.
