About the role

  • Handle state tax audits related to ICMS, ICMS-ST and other indirect taxes.
  • Analyze summons, notifications, notices of infraction and inspection reports, identifying risks, deadlines and required actions.
  • Gather, validate and organize tax, accounting and system documentation to support audits.
  • Support the preparation of technical responses to tax authorities in coordination with team leads, management and external consultants.
  • Perform analyses of tax calculations, bookkeeping and ancillary obligations (EFD ICMS/IPI, GIA, SPED Fiscal, among others) when related to audits.
  • Monitor and track legal deadlines, ensuring timeliness and traceability of submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal areas (Accounting, IT, Operations, Costing) to resolve inconsistencies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing information and technical clarifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience responding to audits of indirect taxes.
  • Strong knowledge of ICMS and ICMS-ST, including state legislation and ancillary obligations.
  • Experience with EFD ICMS/IPI, GIA, SPED Fiscal and related filings.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Desirable: knowledge of tax systems (e.g., Mastersaf, SAP, Tax One).
