About the role

  • The professional's focus will be the integration and ingestion of new data into the Data Lake and the improvement of existing pipelines.
  • Responsible for gathering the requirements of stakeholder areas; defining and negotiating priorities and deadlines; and managing the activities of their projects.
  • As a Senior, will also be responsible for reviewing area processes; evolving the frameworks we use; and providing technical support to other engineers.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields
  • Plus: Postgraduate degree in Data-related fields (Data Engineering, Big Data, Data Science and/or AI)
  • Cloud experience (GCP and/or AWS).
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in SQL/MQL (mainly for Oracle, MongoDB, BigQuery, Athena, and Redshift).
  • Experience integrating data from different sources: Kafka; APIs; transactional databases (structured/semi-structured); files (CSV, JSON)
  • Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Use of Git for code versioning.
  • Practical experience using AI agents to increase productivity in team activities.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable; experience with dbt and data modeling.
