About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own day-to-day relationship management for an assigned portfolio of MLB and MiLB clubs, driving engagement and participation through proactive outreach and consistent follow-through.
  • Own outreach and activation plans across assigned geographic territories, partnering with internal stakeholders to increase local host participation and improve retention.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Pitch, Hit & Run and the broader baseball and softball community, representing the program with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Execute partnership activation with organizations that operate Pitch, Hit & Run competitions, ensuring partners have what they need to drive participation and deliver a strong experience.
  • Enable community-based and Little League organizations by translating program requirements into clear guidance, tools, and repeatable practices.
  • Support key account and national organization relationships (for example: GameChanger, Babe Ruth Baseball, and Little League) by owning assigned deliverables, follow-ups, and coordination, in alignment with the team’s shared ownership model.
  • Own the operational plan for local host events and Team Championships, including schedules, timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Lead Team Championships communications planning and coordination in partnership with coordinators, ensuring messaging is accurate, timely, and consistent for parents and athletes.
  • Serve as an on-site operations lead for key events as needed, anticipating issues and driving resolution to ensure successful delivery.
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of the LeagueApps partnership operations, including intake, data flows, issue triage, and coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Lead end-to-end data operations for participation, registration, event, and results data (including host sheets and participant sheets), partnering with coordinators and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as the point person for data-related communication, issue resolution, and system updates, escalating risk and recurring issues with clear recommendations.
  • Maintain the accuracy and functionality of registration systems, reporting platforms, and event data through regular audits and continuous improvement.
  • Lead results tracking and finalization, ensuring validation steps are followed and stakeholders have what they need to confirm completeness.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and tracking systems; package insights and recommendations for leadership to support decision-making.
  • Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve program execution and partner experience; propose process changes within the role’s scope.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Marketing, and PHR Coordinators to align communications, data, and execution, including marketing recognition and congratulations campaigns tied to championships.
  • Represent the program at conventions and partnership events as needed (for example: ABCA, Boys & Girls Club events, and MLB partnership events).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Former experience playing or coaching collegiate sports (preferably baseball or softball)
  • 4–5 years of experience in event operations, relationship building, and program/partner development
  • Strong understanding of the youth baseball/softball landscape
  • Experience managing event data operations, registration platforms, and reporting dashboards
  • Experience in partnership activation and stakeholder communications planning
  • Available to work weekends and travel based on event dates
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with team player mentality
  • Experience working directly with MLB/MiLB clubs, youth sports partners, or national governing bodies (preferred)
