About the role
- NHL STREET Development: Successfully work across departments to build and implement business strategies related to NHL STREET, through a deep understanding of RCX Sports operations, and all business functions
- Design and implement NHL STREET hockey programs for various age groups, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Develop structured schedules, leagues, and events to promote consistent participation.
- Act as in house 'street hockey expert' for RCX Sports to develop strategy around strategic partnerships in both Canada and the US.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration among all departments at RCX Sports to grow and support the NHL STREET Program, track overall progress of the program, and hold departments accountable for their goals related to the program
- Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with all stakeholders to determine go forward strategy related to growing the NHL Street program.
- Build partnerships with schools, community centers, and local sports organizations to expand reach.
- Assist in designing strategy around promoting the program through marketing campaigns, outreach events, and social media platforms.
- National Hockey League Relationship Management: Act as the subject matter expert and main point of contact for matters related to NHL STREET in collaboration with the NHL, all 32 NHL Clubs, and internal stakeholders including program updates, club initiatives, and strategic event or activation planning
- Build working relationships with all NHL member clubs to act as growth partners for NHL Street.
- Assist in implementing strategies around growth and development related to NHL initiatives and NHL Clubs.
- Provide regular reports on discussions, updates, and upcoming initiatives to senior leadership team and internal departments
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that encourages innovation and accountability
- NHL STREET Events & Partnership Activations: Plan and execute NHL STREET hockey tournaments, clinics, and promotional events. (i.e. Roadshow) in collaboration with the Event Operations, Marketing, and other internal departments
- Collaborate with NHL teams to incorporate player appearances or brand involvement in local activities.
- Assist the Vice President of Program Management with the continued development of NHL STREET Event Series, partnership activation opportunities, and additional NHL STREET event initiatives
- Coordinate with NHL Clubs and RCX Sports Events Team to implement partnership activations and take lead on registration, equipment, apparel, safety & compliance, and all other activation needs
- Coordinate with NHL Clubs and RCX Sports Events Team to ensure activations are successfully implemented at each event within scope and budget
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, Recreation, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in youth sports programming or community outreach.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Strong presentation skills, with the capability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly.
- Dedicated team player who can interact cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading events
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required

- Compensation Structure: Expected starting salary - $77,000-$82,000/year. Our pay grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
