About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage dealers in the assigned territory and recommend targeted sales and market strategies
- Develop and maintain profitable dealer relationships
- Provide strategic advice and information to help dealers maximize profitability with RBC products
- Build relationships with local partners and stakeholders to maximize business opportunities and referrals
- Monitor trends and developments in the indirect finance sector
- Maintain dealer relationships through visits, sales calls, and frequent internal and external interactions
- Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies
- Resolve customer issues from the first point of contact
- Represent RBC at dealer events as required
- Provide dealers with information on RBC policies, programs and updates
- Contribute to individual and collective team goals, growth, profitability, and RBC market share
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three to five years of experience in account management, business development or sales, with a proven track record of success
- Knowledge of automotive, RV and boat dealership operations, sales processes and needs
- In-depth knowledge of the credit approval process, including assessment criteria and associated procedures
- Ability to identify and exploit business opportunities to drive growth and maximize revenues
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office for data analysis, presentations and document management
- Ability to use RBC digital tools to support data analysis
- Bilingualism in English and French required
- Ability to travel frequently daily, including to remote areas and for overnight stays
- Willingness to work in the assigned Quebec territory, subject to change based on organizational needs
