About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence analysis at onboarding and on an ongoing basis to assess whether clients are within RBC’s AML Risk Appetite
- Research and investigate clients using RBC-approved techniques and tools to identify high-risk factors
- Prepare client risk assessments for Senior Management’s review and approval
- Evaluate higher levels of money laundering, terrorist financing, regulatory, and reputational risk
- Work with business partners and stakeholders to escalate issues and reviews within defined timelines and according to RBC policies and procedures
- Communicate with business partners and stakeholders to maintain high service standards and client-care focus
- Assess self-training and self-development needs and review Personal Development plans with management as required
- Complete mandatory RBC training and maintain current industry knowledge, best practices, and relevant AML/CTF regulatory skills
- Provide input into processes, guidance documents, and job aids to enhance the HRCM Strategy and regulatory compliance
- Provide feedback on process gaps to support adherence to AML/CTF legislation, policies, and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of and/or experience in AML Compliance
- Experience in Financial Crimes investigations
- Working knowledge of AML compliance requirements and regulations for Canada
- Experience working in law enforcement, the financial sector, or financial regulatory oversight
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical aptitude and risk mindset
- University degree or equivalent experience
- CAMS designation is nice to have
