Manager, Global Procurement

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop sourcing strategies and help align procurement activity to the organization’s procurement and business objectives
- Use spend information and category metrics to influence business groups to address key opportunities
- Balance cost and complexity to identify and analyze strategic issues, business unit opportunities, service levels, and consolidate critical and non-critical requirements across different suppliers
- Evaluate supplier proposals by interpreting and analyzing proposals against business requirements to recommend the best fit supplier to Director, Global Procurement and/or Caribbean Executive/Senior Management
- Create a robust and effective negotiation strategy in alignment with RBC's business needs
- Prepare and draft contract terms, working with the Law Unit and Centres of Governance
- Working with the Director, Global Procurement, leads the negotiation process from preparation through to execution for assigned contracts
- Build effective and strong relationships with key internal partners and stakeholders
- Influence and lead key internal sponsors and stakeholders through the sourcing process
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key suppliers
- Manage the end-to-end RFx process in compliance with all governance requirements
- Manages procurement policies, processes and procedures to ensure the supplies of quality goods are acquired efficiently, on time and at a reasonable cost
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post Secondary Education in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Law or related Sourcing Field
- Experience in Sourcing of non-complex and complex Procurement deals
- Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations
- Business and Financial Acumen
- Procurement Designation
