About the role
- Serve as counsel providing regulatory guidance and legal advice to RBC's Swap Dealer and Security-Based Swap Dealer
- Serve as secondary counsel to RBCCM’s Macro and Spread (Fixed Income) sales & trading businesses
- Advise on regulatory considerations and new initiatives
- Perform major role in collaborating with front office, Litigation, and control functions across the enterprise
- Assist in managing external counsel relationships
Requirements
- 3-9 or more years of experience in practicing law as it applies to banking and financial services
- Juris Doctorate and member in good standing of bar of a U.S. state with at least an in-house New Jersey certification
- Substantial knowledge of, and experience with, U.S. securities laws, rules and regulations
