About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a high-performing credit management team
- Oversee assigned portfolios, including new and revised facilities, loan agreement compliance, annual reviews, renewals, credit and transactional excesses, and continuous credit oversight
- Manage monthly/quarterly portfolio monitoring and borrowing base assessments
- Complete annual risk assessments and credit comments
- Identify deteriorating portfolio situations and assess qualitative and quantitative credit and borrower risks
- Recommend courses of action to CCG and GRM
- Monitor policy changes, regulatory and audit priorities, annual reviews, and compliance verification
- Conduct spot checks to ensure work quality and identify learning opportunities
- Foster continual staff training and act as a key referral resource for internal partners
- Establish a positive, collaborative environment through feedback and performance coaching
- Work with Managing Directors and other team leaders on Credit Management projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 – 10 years of experience in Lending/Credit or Risk management
- Strong financial, risk analysis and accounting skills
- Proven people management and leadership skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with strong PC skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage competing demands from various groups
- MBA, CFA, CA, or other professional designation (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Corporate Client Group/RBC Capital Markets credit processes and loan agreements (nice-to-have)
