About the role
- Designing Low Voltage Switchboards and Panelboards
- Designing 3D sheet metal parts with flat patterns
- Completing 3D Assemblies (150+ Item BOM)
- Following design life cycle states and design standards
- Creating wiring diagrams using PLCs, breaker accessories, relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
- Creating and understanding 2D Front View, One-Line/Single-Line and Layout drawings using CAD Software
- Ensuring clear communication between Engineering, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders
- Working in a team environment to analyze requirements from clients and develop design solutions
- Ensuring clear communication with suppliers/vendors on an as-needed basis
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- 4 - 8 years of professional experience (working for UL891 OEM or Equivalent)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Suite preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
- Experience with UL891, UL67, UL508A or UL1558 (preferred)
- Experience reading/understanding National Electric Code
- Experience sizing conductors and OCPDs
- Experience with Control Circuits and Logic
