About the role

  • Designing Low Voltage Switchboards and Panelboards
  • Designing 3D sheet metal parts with flat patterns
  • Completing 3D Assemblies (150+ Item BOM)
  • Following design life cycle states and design standards
  • Creating wiring diagrams using PLCs, breaker accessories, relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
  • Creating and understanding 2D Front View, One-Line/Single-Line and Layout drawings using CAD Software
  • Ensuring clear communication between Engineering, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders
  • Working in a team environment to analyze requirements from clients and develop design solutions
  • Ensuring clear communication with suppliers/vendors on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 4 - 8 years of professional experience (working for UL891 OEM or Equivalent)
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Suite preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Experience with UL891, UL67, UL508A or UL1558 (preferred)
  • Experience reading/understanding National Electric Code
  • Experience sizing conductors and OCPDs
  • Experience with Control Circuits and Logic
