About the role
- Designing Low Voltage Switchboards and Panelboards.
- Attention to detail with a preference for self-starting mentality.
- All products must be designed using applicable safety standards & regulations (National Electric Code, Underwriters, Laboratories, etc.).
- Design 3D sheet metal parts with flat patterns.
- Complete 3D Assemblies (150+ Item BOM).
- Create wiring diagrams using PLCs, breaker accessories, relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
- Create and understand 2D Front View, One-Line/Single-Line and Layout drawings using CAD Software.
- Ensure clear communication between Engineering, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders.
- Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from clients and develop design solutions.
- Ensure clear communication with suppliers/vendors on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- 3 - 5 years of professional experience (Electro-Mechanical industry preferred)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Suite preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
- Experience with UL891, UL67, UL508A or UL1558 (Preferred)
- Experience reading/understanding National Electric Code (Preferred)
- Experience sizing conductors and OCPDs (Preferred)
- Experience with Control Circuits and Logic (Preferred)
