About the role

  • Designing Low Voltage Switchboards and Panelboards.
  • Attention to detail with a preference for self-starting mentality.
  • All products must be designed using applicable safety standards & regulations (National Electric Code, Underwriters, Laboratories, etc.).
  • Design 3D sheet metal parts with flat patterns.
  • Complete 3D Assemblies (150+ Item BOM).
  • Create wiring diagrams using PLCs, breaker accessories, relays, contractors, power supplies, etc.
  • Create and understand 2D Front View, One-Line/Single-Line and Layout drawings using CAD Software.
  • Ensure clear communication between Engineering, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders.
  • Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from clients and develop design solutions.
  • Ensure clear communication with suppliers/vendors on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience (Electro-Mechanical industry preferred)
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Suite preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Experience with UL891, UL67, UL508A or UL1558 (Preferred)
  • Experience reading/understanding National Electric Code (Preferred)
  • Experience sizing conductors and OCPDs (Preferred)
  • Experience with Control Circuits and Logic (Preferred)
