About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell plastic resins to Film converters and support existing accounts
  • Expand the customer base through profitable revenue growth and new business development
  • Achieve gross margin targets as a percentage of sales
  • Conduct prospecting and new account calls and develop a robust target funnel
  • Establish, track, and close new business targets aligned with long-term growth objectives
  • Develop, execute, and manage sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets
  • Work directly and cooperatively with channel partners to close business based on customer purchasing requirements
  • Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics
  • Collaborate with Technical and Customer Service teams to meet customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Interact effectively with customers and their functional groups
  • Travel by various means of transportation as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of exposure in B2B, face-to-face sales, preferably in industrial or commodity sales
  • 5 years of related experience preferred selling Film resins in the region
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Experience selling resin to Film converters in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canadian geography
  • Complex thinking skills to translate customer needs into solutions
  • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Broad knowledge of solutions, materials, and processing
  • Ability to work autonomously and remain self-motivated
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop opportunities across the entire line card
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs weekly
  • Ability to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other transportation
