About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across all entities.
  • Prepare accurate, timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee all core accounting cycles.
  • Own revenue recognition across diverse models.
  • Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Partner with business-line leaders to provide financial insight.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across finance operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Required CPA designation.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Finance Manager role.
  • Strong command of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Experience managing external audits and stakeholder relationships.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial-systems proficiency.
  • Quickbooks knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the judgment to know when to dig into the detail and when to step back.
