Finance Manager
Ratehub.caFinance Manager overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Mortgage vertical at Ratehub. Collaborating closely with the Business Unit Leader and driving strategic financial initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end-to-end, including review of journal entries and accruals
- Maintain and enforce the close calendar
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including notes and supporting schedules
- Serve as the embedded finance leader for the Mortgage Business Unit
- Own the financial narrative for the BU
- Prepare monthly BU performance reporting for the CEO, Board, and Investors
- Own the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the Mortgage BU
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models that support scenario planning and executive decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of overall finance and accounting experience required
- Financial operational experience within industry required with demonstrated experience building and refining processes and systems
- Mortgage industry experience a HUGE plus!
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a finance business partner to operational leaders
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear executive-level narratives
- Hands-on experience working with Salesforce
- Excellent Google Sheets/Excel skills
- Prior people leadership experience
