About the role
- Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation's educational programmes and products.
- Ensure that learning experiences, content, resources, and training reflect evidence-based pedagogy and the Foundation's agreed approaches to teaching and learning across formal education and non-formal learning.
- Designing and delivering training in Kenya, and quality assuring a network of partner trainers.
- Contribute to the development of the Foundation's teaching and learning approaches. Actively engage with research and best practice, and identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners.
- Engage positively with the Foundation's systems for quality assurance, including in relation to agreed policies for inclusion and accessibility.
- Proactively utilise user feedback and data to drive improvement.
- Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to the Foundation's thought leadership through writing articles and blogs, public speaking, and contributing to research and evaluation.
Requirements
- A thorough understanding of computing, with a suitable qualification in computer science or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification, or significant experience of teaching computing or a related subject.
- Experience of designing and delivering high quality learning experiences, content, resources, and training in Kenyan schools
- Comfortable with a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software platforms, and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies as required.
- An understanding of computing pedagogy within formal education and non-formal learning.
- A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners. Openness to working across the Foundation's programmes and products.
- Willingness to travel within Kenya and potentially to the UK and internationally.
