About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact career and workforce-related events that connect students, alumni, employers, and community stakeholders.
- Deliver residential alliance–facing recruitment and hiring events, in-person career fairs, on campus tabling and alumni engagement programming both on campus and within the broader community.
- Work cross-functionally with Workforce Solutions, Career Services, Alumni Relations, Campus Leadership, and Corporate Marketing to ensure events are strategically aligned, professionally executed, and measurable in impact.
- Support workforce and alliance strategies by executing event-based opportunities that strengthen relationships and expand employer engagement.
- Maintain awareness of workforce trends, employer needs, and competitor activities to inform event design and outreach strategies.
- Capture feedback and outcomes from events to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.
- Document and share post-event insights, contacts, and identified opportunities to support account planning, follow-up outreach, and pipeline development.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with University branding and engagement goals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field preferred.
- 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to interact professionally with team members, stakeholders both physically and virtually.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Sets and maintains high performance standards for self that support the overall strategic plan and vision of the department and holds self-accountable for achieving results.
- Ability to work multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines independently with minimal direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Ability to travel in and out of state up to 75% of the time.
