About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare students to address specialized healthcare needs of children
  • Focus on the patient from birth to young adult
  • Emphasize advanced nursing knowledge of growth and development, health promotion, health restoration, and health maintenance
  • Apply diagnostic reasoning and evidence-based practice to manage common acute, episodic, and chronic disease processes in pediatric patients
  • Facilitate and grade student assignment submissions
  • Run live sessions during the week based on student need
  • Cover a variety of topics including help with submissions and content delivery
  • Create high levels of student engagement and support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Teaching experience preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of study
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers.
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Online adjuncts will need regular access to a computer with Windows XP or greater, Microsoft Office 2010, and an internet connection
  • Doctorate in Nursing
  • Must hold active Minnesota RN License and FNP or PNP License
  • 2-3 years experience as a FNP or PNP
