About the role
- Partner with Product Managers to develop and refine Product Requirements Documents - contributing the analytical depth and functional detail that bridges strategic intent with engineering-ready specification.
- Own the quality and completeness of requirements before they reach the team.
- Translate PRD requirements into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge case documentation.
- Ensure that what engineering builds matches what the product team intended - with nothing lost in translation.
- Act as the Product Owner on assigned scrum teams — managing and prioritising the backlog, participating in sprint ceremonies, answering day-to-day clarifying questions from engineering, and making real-time scope decisions within the boundaries set by the PM.
- Work closely with engineers, QA, designers, and operations to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
- Identify gaps, surface ambiguities early, and resolve blockers that would otherwise slow delivery.
- Own the integrity of the what-to-how translation. Requirements that reach engineering should be clear, complete, and testable — not a starting point for further interpretation.
