About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop partnering relationships with the client’s SOW business owner community and become well versed in the historical and projected buying needs.
- Act as a sourcing agent, mediator, negotiator, and SOW author.
- Process all procurement requisition activity through a Vendor Management System (VMS).
- Develop appropriate competency knowledge of the program's SOW services supplier community.
- Perform analysis including cost savings reporting.
- Evaluate SOW agreement terms for best practice quality and compliance.
- Provide program-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training and updates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University/Postgraduate or equivalent professional & intellectual ability.
- Demonstrable procurement/commercial experience measured by customer satisfaction, increased responsibilities, and working relationships with colleagues and management.
- Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing, both in one-on-one and in group presentation settings.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to perform accurately in a detailed environment while being able to effectively prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to self-manage workload, set target dates, meet deadlines, follow processes, and develop and implement project road maps.
- Ability to demonstrate high-level customer service to internal and external clients.
- Ability to effectively influence others at various levels within the organization.
- Ability to negotiate pricing and delivery terms with services supplier firms.
- Knowledge of and the ability to utilize best practices in purchasing, procurement, and client negotiation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
