About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Be technically responsible for the company’s processes (machining, assembly, surface treatment, among others), focusing on quality, safety, productivity and innovation, according to strategies defined by management, representing the company before external bodies when necessary;
- Plan and execute projects for new processes and/or changes following company guidelines, proposing alternatives and ensuring the achievement of planned results;
- Define manufacturing strategies, lean layouts and ergonomics, preparing technical documentation on the production process, aiming to maximize productivity and meet safety, environmental and quality requirements;
- Implement actions related to improvement opportunities and/or problem solving, following the methodology used by the company;
- Support the preparation and updating of work method documentation for processes via the system in order to maintain process history;
- Research, develop and define new technologies such as software, machines and equipment as well as analyze and define improvements in the area’s systems to streamline processes and increase productivity;
- Provide technical and operational guidance to the work team in the processes within their area of responsibility, as well as deliver training related to work methods in production processes;
- Monitor process indicators for their area, assisting with necessary actions to achieve results defined by the company;
- Maintain contact with interface areas, checking demands and operational difficulties and exchanging information to synchronize information and contribute to process improvements;
- Propose continuous improvements in the work processes of their area of responsibility, maximizing results, reducing costs, contributing to productive efficiency and effectiveness, and informing their immediate superior for decision-making;
- Comply with company rules and procedures;
- Apply occupational health & safety and environmental procedures in production processes and/or administrative activities, implementing improvements when applicable;
- Apply the 5S method at their workstation, keeping the work environment clean, productive and organized, seeking to improve efficiency, productivity and safety in the company.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 8D problem-solving methodology;
- FMEA - Failure Mode and Effects Analysis;
- CREA registration (Brazilian engineering council);
- Intermediate English;
- Course or knowledge in Advanced Excel;
- Training in Project Management;
- Statistical Process Control (SPC);
- Value Stream Mapping (VSM);
- Experience in an industrial environment in activities related to the production process and continuous improvement.
